The 2021 Annual General Meeting of Action Learning, Action Research Association Ltd will be conducted as both an electronic meeting and a Zoom meeting. Details and timing are stated below. Vacancies exist on the Board and Committees Group, and members are invited to nominate using the appropriate nomination form (see below).
Note: The Board has decided to add two positions: Indigenous AL / AR Coordinator and Volunteers Co-ordinator to the Committees Group, and nominations are also invited for these positions.

The workshop aims to commence a series of research projects that will:

  • Identify successful projects conducted by or in organisations and communities that have used collaborative action learning or action research to effect climate action;
  • Gather and analyse data related to each suitable example, including the steps taken during the project;
  • Develop new projects that would be action learning or action research projects in themselves, using the information from the earlier projects to guide the way;
  • Publish a report for use in future projects, and / or a paper in an ALAR Association or other publication.

The workshop aims to:

  • Share authentic examples of funded higher education AR projects
  • Outline the key concepts of Distributed Leadership (and the six tenets of DL), Action Research and SOTL
  • Explore the relationship between DL and AR
  • Examine the good practice action statements (to enable DL for SOTL AR) in relation to the practice and context and of participants

Vacancies exist on the Board and Committees Group, and members are invited to nominate using the appropriate nomination form.
Note: The Board has decided to add a position of Research Coordinator to the Committees Group and nominations are also invited for this position.

The electronic section of the meeting will commence at 12.01 am on Thursday 6 November and conclude at 12:00 pm (Noon) on Thursday 19 November 2020. The Zoom (video conference) meeting will commence at 9.00 pm on Thursday 19 November 2020. (All times listed are Australian Eastern Summer Time (Sydney or Melbourne) - please check the relevant time for your location, e.g., timeanddate.com.)
