The conference will be both a face-to-face and a virtual conference. The face-to-face sessions will be held in Launceston, which is in the north of Tasmania, in the Tamar Valley, where there are wonderful wines, lavender farms, truffles, fresh produce, and the Cataract Gorge. Click here to open Google Maps of northern Tasmania.

The face-to-face sessions will interact with the virtual sessions. The approved submissions for presentations will influence the schedule and structure of the programme, but that programme will include much time for interaction and networking.

You may also want to attend the Spring Racing Carnival in Melbourne Victoria the week before the Conference, during which one of the world's greatest horse races, the Melbourne Cup, is run on Tuesday 3 November. And, while you are in Tasmania, consider touring the island, and visiting Hobart, just a couple of hours drive south of Launceston.

Accommodation

There is a broad range of accommodation options available in Launceston. The venue for the conference, Peppers Silo Hotel, has many rooms and apartments at a range of prices, while there are several other hotels within an easy walking distance from the Silo Hotel. There is also the Arthouse Hostel just 500 metres down the street, and many 3-4 bedroom houses in Launceston and nearby suburbs that can be rented at very reasonable rates. Participants in the conference must arrange their own accommodation directly with their preferred hotel, etc. The Organising Committee recommend booking your accommodation early to gain the best rates.
