Membership Application

You are completing this application to join Action Learning, Action Research Association (ALARA) in one of the following categories, and you will be making the appropriate payment as part of this application process.

ALARA membership is classified into two levels (Full and Concessional membership) and three groups.

Concessional membership is for students, retired persons, or those with low income (under about $20,000 per annum). Full membership applies to all other applicants. Members whose circumstances change can change their level at the annual renewal, or any other time by contacting ALARA.

The groups are based on your primary place of residence, according to the World Bank's list of countries:

  • Low-income and lower-middle-income economies (up to USD 4,515 p.a.) = Developing
  • Upper-middle-income economies (USD 4,516 to 14,005 p.a.) = Emerging
  • High-income economies (above USD 14,005 p.a.) = Developed
