ALARA 2024 Australasian ConferenceAnticipation is growing, as the ALARA-UTS Conference is this week at UTS on 7 and 8 November! Registrations for participants close tomorrow (4 November), so make sure you and your network members have a seat. The program is now available online. See here for more information. The registration price includes one year's membership of ALARA. ALARA Annual General MeetingThe electronic section of the ALARA Annual General Meeting commenced on 22 October, and closes on Wednesday 6 November. The face-to-face section of the AGM will be held at the ALARA-UTS Conference, at 5.00 pm on Thursday 7 November (Australian Eastern Daylight Time). If you cannot attend the Conference, you can join via a Zoom link, but you will need to contact ALARA by Noon Wednesday 6 November to register for the Zoom link. Details about the AGM are available on the Annual General Meeting 2024 page (you will need to be logged into the ALARA site to open this page). Brisbane Group Workshop: Bridging the Practice-Theory Divide in Higher Education using Action ResearchA quick reminder about the Bridging the Practice-Theory Divide in Higher Education using Action Research: Integrating Community and University Knowledges for Positive Change workshop, presented by Lesley Wood, Eileen Piggot-Irvine and Sara Branch, on 12 November at 2.00-4.00 pm at Griffith University Mt Gravatt Campus. Action Learning and Action Research JournalThe latest issue of the ALAR Journal, a special issue recognising the work and interests of Dr Erik Lindhult, who was a member of the ALARA Global Strategic Publications Editorial Board when he passed away last year, is now available. The Editorial Board welcomes submissions for the Journal. Please see the ALAR Journal site for more information on submitting to the Journal. Action Learning / Action Research CalendarThe ALARA webpage with Action Learning and Action Research news and events continues to be updated, as does the AL / AR calendar of events.
