Completion of ALARA Annual General Meeting 2023

Dear Member

Following the delayed caused by the Optus outage last week, the rescheduled ALARA Annual General Meeting (AGM) Zoom meeting was held this morning (Australian Eastern Daylight Time).

A quorum was reached (despite another technical hitch for one member trying to attend). All motions were passed, and the following people were elected:

• Secretary - Teshome Berhe *
• Vice-President International - Emmanuel Tetteh
• Treasurer - Ngoc Minh Thu (Natalie) Dao
• Research Coordinator - Sumesh Nair
• Volunteers Coordinator - Nelly Claire Muntalima

* Teshome must first meet Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) requirements before he can take up the position of Secretary.

During the meeting, a nomination for Kan Ottah to become the Membership Co-ordinator was received and accepted.
