More on the AIB-ALARA Action Learning Action Research Higher Degree Research Awards
As announced last e-News, Australian Institute of Business has agreed to sponsor two years of the AIB-ALARA Action Learning Action Research Higher Degree Research Awards - 2022 and 2023. AIB sponsored these awards during the ALARA-BALT Conference in 2020, and the new sponsorship builds on those awards' success.
The Awards are for best proposal and best presentation by a Higher Degree Research student (current in March 2022). Submissions are invited, with a closing date of 4 March 2022. A webinar will be held in late March where students will make their presentations.
The awards include $500 (AUD) to be allocated to a research fund for the student and a year's membership of ALARA. Details of the awards and submission process are available here. The submission form is also available on that web page.
Members are encouraged to advise any students (or supervisors of students) undertaking higher degree research in action learning / action research about these awards.

Thesis Research Notes
The ALARA Global Strategic Publications Editorial Board have been discussing ways to increase the number of submissions, and the quality of those submissions, to the ALAR Journal.
In their latest meeting, the Editorial Board proposed the introduction of Thesis Research Notes, which would be written by Action Research (or Action Learning) master or doctoral students. The content would mostly focus on the journey they experienced during their studies. The students' supervisors will be invited to provide a response about the paper. More details of this initiative will be included in the next issue of the Journal, due for release by the end of the year. If you are interested to know more, or know of students who would benefit from submitting a Thesis Research Notes paper, please email admin [at] alarassociation.org.
