News of the CARN Conference 2018

CARN had the privilege of enjoying a hugely successful, inspirational and well-organised conference in Manchester at the end of October. The standard and quality - and diversity - of presentations, round tables, symposia and workshops was truly impressive, many people taking up the Conference theme of Voicing and Valuing, Doing and Daring. Ruth Balogh thanked the Keynote Panel, Margaret Ledwith, Sally Hardy, Helen Newall, Jacqueline van Swet and Karin Ronnerman who together made the new keynote format of brief provocations on 'Unwelcome Truths' a success and so stimulating. The Thursday morning workshops, facilitated by Lonnie Rowell & Joe Shosh from ARNA and to Jean McNiff, were well-attended and a great addition to the conference programme.

2015 World Congress Proceedings Published

ALARA has published the 9th Action Learning, Action Research and 13th Participatory Action Research 2015 World Congress Proceedings. It is available via Sydney University Press, or ALARA's website for more information.

ALARA Monograph available

ALARA has published the 6th Monograph in its series: Beyond the boundary: Is there Something Called 'Real Knowledge'? by Davies, Shamshoum, Nyland and Clarke. Members can access the full Monograph via the Monograph's page, or via Sydney University Press.

AR+ Transformations Gathering is a community organizing space, designed by and for those committed to action oriented transformations research. Hilary Bradbury has been interviewing invitees and participants as they try to weave together various intentions.
