Notice of 2024 Annual General Meeting and Call for Nominations

Dear Member

The 2024 Annual General Meeting of Action Learning, Action Research Association Ltd will be conducted as both an electronic meeting and a face-to-face meeting. The face-to-face meeting will be held on 7 November and will also be available for video conference (via Zoom) if members register to attend via Zoom. Details and timing are stated below. Vacancies exist on the Board and Committees Group, and members are invited to nominate using the appropriate nomination form (see below).

Times listed for dates before 6 October are Australian Eastern Standard Time and for dates from 6 October are Australian Eastern Daylight Time. Please check the relevant time for your location, e.g., timeanddate.com.

The electronic section of the meeting will commence at 12.01 am on Tuesday 22 October and conclude at 12:00 pm (Noon) on Wednesday 6 November 2024. The face-to-face meeting will be held at the ALARA-UTS 2024 Conference in Sydney on Thursday 7 November 2024 at 5:00 pm. A Zoom (video conference) link will be made available if members who are not at the conference request that link.

If requesting the Zoom link, financial members must register by 9.00 pm on Tuesday 5 November 2024. To register your intention to participate in this meeting, please advise the Secretary of the email you will be using for the meeting. Registered Financial Members will be sent an email in the evening of Wednesday 6 November 2024, which will include a Zoom link. Clicking on the link will mean the Member will need to accept the download and installation of the appropriate Zoom software that will allow the member to join the meeting. There is no cost to join the meeting.

  1. Monday 9 September 2024:   Announcement of the intent to hold AGM and call for nominations to fill vacancies on the Board and Committees Group
  2. 9.00 am Sunday 29 September 2024:   Close of nominations.
  3. Monday 30 September 2024:   Formal announcement of AGM, including agenda and list of nominees for vacant positions, and invitation to nominate proxy
  4. 9.00 am Monday 21 October 2024:   Close of lodgement of proxies
  5. 12.01 am Tuesday 22 October 2024:   Commencement of electronic AGM
  6. 9.00 pm Tuesday 5 November 2024:   Close of registration for joining AGM via Zoom video link
  7. 12:00 pm (Noon) Wednesday 6 November 2024:   Close of electronic AGM
  8. Evening, Wednesday 6 November 2024:   Zoom link details sent to registered members
  9. 5.00 pm Thursday 7 November 2024:   AGM commences at ALARA-UTS Conference venue
  10. Monday 11 November 2024:   Minutes of AGM available
