CARN 2017 Conference

CARN has had a hugely successful conference in Crete where their hosts provided all participants the most wonderful hospitality.

Keynotes were by Andy Townsend, Sofia Avgitidou and Michael Wright - all inspirational in entirely different ways. Members of Regional CARN groups - Greek, Portuguese-speaking, Norwegian, German-speaking and Dutch - colleagues joined the event sharing details of their activities - including a conference in December 2017 in Brazil to be hosted by the Portuguese-speaking group.

The pre-conference workshops were lively, and in the ARNA Knowledge Democracy workshop, were further enlivened by the presence of local Philosophy students whose course leader noticed the subject and negotiated their attendance.

The workshop hosted by the CARN Co-ordinating Group on post-graduate supervision led to the formation of a Postgraduate Research Interest Group which will be meeting online. For further details of this and how to join it, contact CARN secretary Charmian c.wilby@mmu.ac.uk.
