Norwich University will host the 10th ALARA Action Learning Action Research and 14th Participatory Action Research (PAR) World Congress, on its Northfield, Vermont campus. The opportunity to submit proposals for participation in the World Congress is now open, as is registration for attending the event.

Norwich is a university founded upon the principles of experiential learning—hands on learning. As Norwich University prepares to celebrate its 200th anniversary in 2019, the ALARA World Congress will help celebrate the Year of Legacy. Norwich University’s ALARA chapter will also celebrate its first anniversary during the World Congress. Participants will be invited to attend other events at the University, such as the Academic Recognition Ceremony on 21st June.

Call for papers: The Organizing Committee has extended the second call for proposals for interactive presentations, workshops, poster displays and similar activities. The deadline for proposals closed on March 2, 2018, but there are a small number of places left. Visas: While participants will receive an acceptance letter to attend the World Congress (after registering), each participant is responsible for his/her own visa. All international World Congress attendees should apply for a B-2 visitor visa at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in order to enter the United States as a tourist. Please visit the U.S. Department of State website for more information on the different types of visas. ALARA strongly encourages those requiring visas to immediately commence investigating the application process for the appropriate visa to enter the USA and return to their countries after the World Congress.
