Date Set for Getting Your Paper Published Webinar
The group of representatives from about ten AL / AR publications are finalising the proposed webinar about getting your paper published. The webinar is intended for practitioners and students seeking to gain publication of their papers on action learning / action research projects.
The agreed date for the webinar is 28/29 September. The webinar will include information about the various publications and invite authors to submit short papers for discussion in small groups with a representative of the desired journal. We will have further details once finalised.
If you would like to assist, or present at a webinar, please send your ideas or offer of help to admin[at}alarassociation.org.

More About On the Tip of Our Tongue
Last e-News, we mentioned that ALARA had received, informally, two pieces of exciting news. We can now reveal information on one of these items (the official announcement on the other item is expected by month's end).
ALARA's Journal has been listed on the Norwegian Register for Scientific Journals, Series and Publishers. This listing in a large international publication index is an important step in gaining recognition for ALARj's authors and ALARA. The Editorial Board plan to seek listing in other Indexes, such as the IBSS and DHET and to develop citation statistics that will help improve ALARj's profile in the various indexes.

Invitation to Assist ALARA
ALARA's Board has identified a range of activities and they are seeking people willing to assist in delivering these activities. Examples of these activities include:
- We have received one offer to assist in webinars, but more proposals and assistance are sought.
- Several members are involved in research, with at least two other projects on the horizon. The alliance with GCWAL (see below) also supports further research.
- The recognition of First Nations People and supporting their work in action learning and action research is another exciting opportunity.
If you would like to know more, or want to assist, please contact ALARA.

Information about the programmes are available on the GCWAL website and the linked brochures.
The alliance also provides support to ALARA to develop research in action learning and action research. More news will come on research initiatives under the alliance.

Reflective Practice Online
In 2020, a group of Australian academics and HEA fellows, known as a learning circle, launched a new (and free) Reflection for Learning Scholarly Practice. They now make a call to reflect online: "Are you researching, learning or teaching online? Reflective practices support learning (Harvey, Coulson & McMaugh, 2016) and they can be used in any research or learning environment, including online. Download the practice guide and view a video of a new practice you have not used before." See here for more information.
Evaluative Study of Action Research Book Published
